Meet Our Management Team
Company History and Services:
Since 1997, SPMC has provided professional pool management
services to community pools, country clubs, municipal pools, and
condo associations. Through the years, SPMC has grown to
become a leader in the Atlanta pool management market.
In
addition to lifeguard staffing and regular pool maintenance, we
offer a wide array of other pool related services including:
pool equipment repair and replacement, resurfacing, retiling,
coping and deck work, pool cover installation, pool furniture
sales and repair, and an optional swim lesson program. We truly
are a full-service management company!
Company Philosophy: We
do the job right and don’t cut corners. Many of our
competitors play bait-and-switch games to entice unsuspecting
customers with a low initial price only to surprise them later
with hidden costs. We are up front and honest!
We
believe that well-trained and
compensated employees serve our customers best. We have the best
paid, longest tenured employees and one of the most
comprehensive training programs in the Atlanta pool management
industry. Our business practices have earned us one of the
highest customer retention rates in the city (95% for 2003)!
Mission Statement: Our
mission is to provide our customers with the widest variety of
pool related services, performed with unparalleled
professionalism and customer service. We hold ourselves to the
highest standards of integrity and quality, because our
customers deserve the best!
Communication: Good
communication is key to a successful summer. To kick off the
summer we host a Pre-Season Customer Training Event. SPMC
management meets with our customer Pool Chairs to discuss how we
can work together to have the best summer possible. In addition,
we also offer a Meet the Guards event for those customers who
would like to personally meet the lifeguard staff assigned to
their pool for the summer. The lifeguards and an SPMC manager
will be available to meet with pool members and patrons, to
discuss safety issues, swim lessons, and other concerns.
But
our efforts do not stop there! Every customer has a designated
Supervisor, who is the primary SPMC contact. The Supervisor is
available by cell phone in the event of an emergency. The pool
Supervisor and SPMC officers visit your pool two to three times
per week! SPMC maintains a 24-hour pager
service for after-hours emergencies. A manager will return
your phone

Hiring, Training and Certification: SPMC
uses a very selective hiring process that weeds out inferior
guards. We pay our guards above industry average, and we
interview each guard individually (never in large groups), so
that we can make hiring decisions based upon the individual.
Every SPMC lifeguard has current certification in Red Cross CPR
for the Professional Rescuer, Red Cross First Aid, and Red Cross
(or YMCA) Lifeguard Training. SPMC guards also receive on site
training by their Supervisor or Head Guard.
SPMC
develops an operating manual for each customer's facility. Each
manual contains important information on how to operate the
equipment at your pool. It also contains general guarding
principles, SPMC employee policies and customer service training.
The manual stays on site throughout the season for easy
reference by guards and members.
Company Insurance Policies:
SPMC is a fully licensed company, incorporated in Fulton
County. We maintain a combined limit of General and
Professional Liability Coverage in the amount of two million
($2,000,000.00) dollars per incident, with three million
($3,000,000.00) dollars aggregate coverage. We also maintain workman's compensation
insurance. SPMC is a member of the Greater North Fulton
Chamber of Commerce, Cobb Chamber of Commerce, Cumming-Forsyth
County Chamber of Commerce, APSP (Association of Pool and
Spa Professionals), USLA (United States Lifesaving Association),
and the Metropolitan Atlanta Better Business Bureau.
